PC FAMILY DAY!

lols. today is PC Family Day and it was uber fun :DDD

woke up at around 5 plus to change, wash up and do morning gongyo. then rushed off to West Mall taxi stand to wait for uncle eric and shandy jiejie. we took a cab to Toa Payoh Park together cos all the organisers had to be there by 7.30am. i wore my SUPER offbeat ndp shirt cos it was the only thing i could find in my wardrobe that was RED. eeyerh

helped out abit with the putting up of the banner first, then went over to do the signs on plastic chairs for various chapters. then wrote the event names on the whiteboard with san san and both of us almost died doing it. our necks practically broke after the ordeal. lols.

we were blowing up the balloons but i was standing there being an extra. the balloons burst everytime the guys tried blowing it up to the max, and the girls would scream everytime an explosion was heard. :( halfway through the balloons and at around 9.30am, huiting was like, "eh amanda! how come so early got Queenstown people come liao huh?!" and pointed in the direction of... benglee kor and twa yee and rosaline jie and ah ma! zomgs, they were the kiasu-est and the earliest, thanks to my mum. she even asked me if there was a gift for early birds.

errrr.

i was the flag bearer for Queenstown! hahahs, my own chapter. so i had to stand on a chair and wave the flag and it brought back unhappy memories of none other than NDP rehearsals. EEKS! somemore the flag was red. i think i'm so gonna take a white flag or something next time. or just the empty bamboo pole. :)

i joined wanjun's group for amazing race and was named the second marshall of the game. wanjun took Queenstown's students and youths, duh, so i could goof around with benglee kor and ivy jie, lijuan, jessica and so many others whom i've known for some time. :D we ran and ran like xiao kukus, but our hard work paid off cos we got SECOND. YAYNESS; cos we could increase Queenstown's points by quite alot. our amazing race group got 19 points out of 20. pro huhhhh. x)

later on, i played the three-legged game with mum and some other Queenstown members. mum's legs were too short; hahah! then she had to take 2 strides for every 1 stride of mine. -.- and it's not only 3-legged. one of the pair has to take a milo tin can with a huge hole underneath and carry water to the pail at the other end. the pail had to be full by the end of the whole thing or you'd be disqualified. but we did quite well despite mum's screaming and shouting xD

mum and gang set up a picnic area so we could have some food after all the running. mum overbought the muffins. she bought more than 40 and it turned out that everyone couldn't finish some of them. she told me to go around offering muffins to my friends so i walked around looking like a vendor with this huge white box of food. -.o i asked plenty of people, ranging from lijuan to san san etc. in the end, yuko-san and auntie doris had to bring back muffins to eat or our house would become a muffin house if we brought the remaining back.. hurrhurr :)

uncle tay tong was QT's representative for Kaimyo Superstar! LOL. everyone was screaming and cheering for him at the QT area. he did quite well though he didnt get champion. o.o Queenstown didn't get overall champ too; Sembawang did. the Superstar champ was also from Sembawang i guess. lol.

today i had my first henna drawing! i had it on my wrist. i also took a pic with ren ting's dog. haha, the jack russell's cute.

i stink now cos i've not bathed/changed. eeee.

this phone is driving me up the wall. :(
